Many people have asked, "How can I help?" Scott Baggerly has met with many Pastors and church leaders to explain
the vision and prayer for Faith Haven Christian Retreat Center. Scott’s work, his own personal labor of love, has
just begun. As we move forward with the vision of a debt-free facility, we also begin the Capital Campaign,
Labor of Love.
Labor of Love has been launched to construct the Retreat Center. Our builder has given us an estimated budget
of $600,000. Your gifts of love will ensure that Faith Haven has a debt-free start. Faith Haven is currently accepting
any and all pledges. Monetary pledges are greatly appreciated, as are gifts of tools, materials, your time and your
prayers. Faith Haven Christian Retreat Center is a non-profit organization; all gifts are tax deductible.
Service projects are an additional means of showing your support. Faith Haven hosted the
groundbreaking service project July 24-27, 2008. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Group, who call themselves
SMURF, pioneered a cleanup service project of the wooded property. Additional working hands joining SMURF were those of two
young ladies from Christ The King Lutheran Church. SMURF, which stands for Students in Missions
United in Redeeming Faith, are true to their name. Spearheaded by Pastor Ross Engel, SMURF was dynamic in their
efforts and have made a huge difference.
If you know of a youth group that would like to participate in Labor of Love, please contact us. We need their help.
If you prefer to participate in supporting Labor of Love with a monetary gift or a gift of material, we are
humbled by the acceptance of your treasure.
How will you choose to join us in this Labor of Love?
To God be the glory.
